Up to a point, Ms. Smith.

The social world cretes a certain flexibility within the natural world, especially for certain favoured people, and especially recently. Fundamentally reality is physical and biological. For good and ill it can be changed by social processes, but I would be careful not to exaggerate the
extent to which it can be changed.

Most of the positive changes (for us) that have been
mde in the last three or four billion years are Gaia's. and our effect has not been positive.

I love your blog. How refreshing it is!

Speaking of refreshing, you know that there was a time when I never would drink cocacola/nestle bottled water. I've stumbled a bit lately on that front. Winnipeg water tastes funny. I live on campus. But from now on - I promise you, Elissa - I will not buy or drink that capitalist-water! Never again. You have given me the motivation to do this little thing.

Now, let's do something bigger.
